The food sherpa llc is a proud supporter of the Fairlington 5K once again in 2022! After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, the race is back this year. This is the eighth year that the company has been a sponsor for the event.

According to the Fairlington 5K website, “The Fairlington 5K & 1K Family Fun Run is a non-competitive, family- friendly, dog-friendly event hosted in coordination with the Fairlington Civic Association, A Cure for Ellie and Abingdon Elementary. Our mission is to promote health and physical fitness, while bringing the community together for a good cause. Money raised goes to support physical education programs at Abingdon Elementary, as well as research into LBSL – a rare brain and spinal cord disease affecting 13-year old Fairlington resident Ellie McGinn.”

Proceeds from previous races have helped the family’s foundation, ‘A Cure for Ellie,’ fund research at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore that aims to cure Ellie’s disease.

This year, the food sherpa llc is donating a choice of either a 3 x 4 Personal Chef Package or a 5 x 2 Personal Chef Package for bid at the online Silent Auction, which will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 (full details to follow with updates posted on this page).

There is still time to register for the Fairlington 5K, which will be run on Saturday, May 7, 2022, starting at Abingdon Elementary School (3035 South Abingdon Street, Arlington, VA 22206) at 8:30 a.m.

Both annual events are a great way to get involved in the community while supporting a very important cause! Please visit the Fairlington 5K website for full details.
